Terms of Service
The terms for using moneyexamined.com and for buying Money Examined digital books.
Last updated October 15, 2026
About these terms
These terms apply when you use moneyexamined.com, subscribe to the newsletter or buy a book from Money Examined. By using the site or making a purchase, you agree to them. Questions: [email protected].
Educational content, not advice
Money Examined publications are for educational and informational purposes only. They are not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and they are not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or other investment. Past events do not predict future results.
Buying a book
10 Disasters That Ruined Smart People is sold as a digital edition (PDF) for a one-time payment of $19 USD. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Prices are shown in US dollars; if you pay in another currency, your card provider may apply its own exchange rate or fees.
Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Your order is confirmed only once Stripe confirms the payment. You then receive a personal download link on the confirmation page and by email.
Your download link
Your download link is personal to your order and valid for 30 days after purchase. Please save the PDF to your device within that time and keep the link private. If the link stops working, see Contact & Refunds and we will help. A link stops working if its purchase is fully refunded.
What you may do with the book
Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read the book and keep copies for your own use. Please do not share, resell, publish or distribute the file or your download link. The book and the content of this website are protected by copyright; all rights are reserved.
Refunds
You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. How refunds work is explained on Contact & Refunds.
The newsletter
The newsletter is free. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the consumer-protection laws that apply to you.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page, with the date at the top, applies to purchases made while it is published.
